Around the Baixa Limia Region (R-1)

Ourense.

This route will lead us through the so called Baixalimia, in the southern tip of the Province of Ourense, at the border with Portugal, having the chance of visiting and walking through a part of the BaixaLimia-Serra do Xurés Natural Park, created in 1993 and that has an extension of 30.000 hectares.

The cultural heritage of this region that surround this vast plain is extensive and varied, so with this tour we will be able to discover some really interesting elements of Galician History.

Limia-Montalegre (R-3)

This tour will take us through the region of A Baixa Limia, as a preliminary step to a brief and interesting incursion in the Portuguese region of Barroso.

Arnoia Tour (R-4)

Northern lands of the Ribeiro (R-8)

The highlands of the Ribeiro are a wine-growing area in which we will be able to know small Romanesque churches, the ruins of an old Benedictine monastery, and a lovely winery whose origins date back to the 18th century.

This area of Ribeira Sacra allow us to discover some of the examples of our cultural heritage and some of the most spectacular viewpoints in Galicia.

Going up the River Sil we´ll discover new jewels of the Galician cultural heritage as Montederramo and San Paio de Abeleda, Castro Caldelas castle and the ecropolis of San Vítor de Barxacova

The Cistercian Way II: touring the countryside (R-41)

We may continue the second stage of the of the Cistercian Way from Sobrado to Oseira monastery to discover the historical-artistic legacy of the interior of Galicia.

The Cistercian Way III: art and wine heritage (R-42)

The third and final stage of this Cistercian Way connects Oseira monastery with the region of Ribeiro to discover a great artist and winery heritage.
